I'm very familiar with Chinese calligraphy which is a Chinese form of art.

In art school, we watched a Master Calligrapher from Japan do a piece. He sat, almost meditating for several minutes. Then, with a cry like in Judo, he dove at the scroll with a very large brush. It was over in minutes and perfect. It was an amazing creative process.
