Unless you have a medical issue, eliminating gluten from your diet can deprive you of beneficial fiber and nutrients.

my husband has Celiac disease. and eating gluten is a nightmare for him. He had bloating, mental fog, insomnia and depression, as well as eczema all over his body. Three weeks after stopping gluten he was almost 100% better.

It's a real thing, my friend has problems with gluten, her diet is very restricted now. But a lot of people just say they are, I think. Hypochondriacs, maybe?

they're putting gluten free on alot of foods now. Many of them never had gluten in them to begin with. it's a sales ploy.

ZyggyStardust, Yes. it's ridiculous. The human race has been eating wheat for millenia. Now they are being brainwashed into paying more for gluten free. And you may not believe this but I have seen a stall selling gluten free ice cream and gluten free eggs in a supermarket. Even gluten free water. I asked you. How dumb can some people be?

Gary, Coeliac disease is not related to allergies. It is an inability to deal with, metabolise this protein. "Allergy" is used too frequently.

Whatever not buying it. It's just a way to make more money. If it was true gluten free products should cost the same as non gluten products.

Now I finally know what gluten is! But I still want an answer to why it's always free in many foods.😉

Actually it is the glyphosate contamination in wheat that makes non-cealiacs intolerant. we are reacting to the toxin not the gluten.

The elimination of gluten is only recommended if a person has celiac disease, and celiac disease primarily effects just 4% of white people. The rest of the world is not susceptible to that disease.
