Tadpoles develop into what animals?

Sheriffe, I loved Biology at school, but I refused to follow on to the A- level ( post -16) course, because you had to dissect frogs and rats. The idea of killing hundreds of thousands of animals just for school children - all working side by side - to cut their bodies up, appalled me, even then. _Not_ for vital research, or providing necessary food, just for children to be able to clock up a pass in a subject to which they would never give another thought after they left school. I hope they now use computer simulations like the ones surgeons are trained on.

I have learned about this but I don't remember how long ago it has been.

Just now, March 2025, my wildlife pond has masses of frogspawn and toadspawn. Toadspawn is hard to spot because it is made up of thin strands of spawn, draped around underwater plants, not piles on the surface. Next year's natural garden pesticide soon to arrive.😀
