"Polenta" is a staple of Northern Italian cuisine. What's it made from?
Correct answer: Cornmeal
MizDizzyMizzy63
The included photo doesn't look like any polenta I've ever had. It looks more like boneless buffalo wings. Either way, now I'm hungry, lol.
LaContessa
MizDizzyMizzy63, I agree too. I live in the north of Italy and have never seen any polenta that looks like this.
Sonia

TwoDeer
Player lilith666, actually, it is more like cornmeal mush.
CyndiWig1
TwoDeer, the flavor does remind me of grits. I'm a southern girl and know my grits!
Turandot
MizDizzyMizzy63, you are right. this is not polenta at all!
CyndiWig1
LaContessa, The pictures are not all the answer to the question. Some pics are merely pertaining to the category of the question. Hence, polenta is FOOD. So are chicken wings.
Taramaiden
Big Blue Narwhal, do you eat rice? or potatoes, even...? please be mindful of the fact that many foods eaten, aren't indigenous or native to where they are consumed.

We call it grits in the South. Come visit Charleston, South Carolina and try the shrimp and grits and you’ll be happy y’all did! The best grits are from Geechie Boy Mill. Try the unicorn grits if you can find them.
