According to a myth, what insect defies physics?

People would say this to me, I would say it is wrong. (I have a physics degree) Scientists make a model to understand nature. If the model disagrees with observation they review the model, they don't say reality is wrong. Bumblebees fly therefore it is possible. I read that the initial model ignored uplift from the upstroke of the wing. When this was accounted for there was no discrepancy. Also, this sort of model, might seem simple but it (still) cannot be solved analytically.
