"Lazy Bones" was the nickname of which invention?

Before our family had a remote my Dad used to call us kids in to change the channel. He had been on his feet at work all day.

Wow did not think it was that early.

I never had one until I got together with my second husband in the 80's. I thought he was lazy to need it. Now I won't watch TV without it. Then, too, I'm a senior citizen now.

My Dad had a remote control -- us kids! We would get called in from whatever room we were in to charge the channel for him after he had been working all day.

A great invention. I grew up having to watch TV cross legged, half a foot in front of the screen. When I was about 13, we got a remote, then I was able to sit back on the couch and drink my beer 🍺 in peace.

I guess me and my brother weren't the only remote control out there!

When I was a kid my family still had this ancient black and white TV that had a remote with two buttons!
