Merriam-Webster is a name associated with which sort of books?

JJ, I too have a compete set of Encyclopedia that we bought for our children. Almost unused unfortunately. I still have Merriam Webster dictionaries also. I get better definitions in the dictionary. when I Google a word it is an abbreviated version.

I remember buying a set of these encyclopedias for my daughter back then. then few yrs later, all was online. Times do change-'thank goodness
