Where would you find your thyroid gland?

I have had an operation to remove a tumour on my parathyroid gland which is behind the thyroid. It is the size of a grain of rice,and the same tumour killed my mother in 1982. Because the doctors didn't know it was there. I was actually self diagnosed due to symptoms being excessive calcium in the blood.

You need iodine for the health of the thyroid, thus the iodized salt.

I know all about this. I had to get my whole entire thyroid removed. I had papillary cancer in it. Before all this I never knew where the thyroid gland was though and I’ve never even heard of it.
