In the movie Blazing Saddles, which actor played the role of The Waco Kid?
Correct answer: Gene Wilder
cfmurray
It didn't just poke fun at racism. It was a parody, that poked fun at every institution we have. Mel Brooks is a comedic genius. But, he could never make a movie like "Blazing Saddles" today, because very few people have a sense of humor, due to "political correctness"
Laudy Miss Claudy
The best comedy ever...especially the scene when the cowboys were eating beans around the campfire.

One of the funniest part of the whole is now bleeped because of "political correctness". The scene when the townspeople realize the new sheriff is black only that is not the word used; but, it was ok for Cleavon Little to use it. Irritating.

Do what he say oh lordy lordy

Well, Mr. Brooks is still alive at 93 and has the luxury of reading a just released biography. Usually you die, then the biography, so you never know what they dug up and write about you. And his wife was Anne Bancroft?!!! Mrs. Robinson? Shades of Julia Roberts-Lyle Lovett, which didn't last, but Mel's did. Lucky guy, all right.

Actor Slim Pickens rides up on a horse and exclaims "what in the Wide World of Sports is going on"? (with his bandaged from being hit in the head with a shovel) The movie was set in the "western era" before TV's were invented!
