I have had it for about 8 years. no cure yet.

My first bout of tinnitus commenced back in the mid to late 90s when I was so sick with a bleeding duodenal ulcer I never knew I had & I was rehearsing playing bass with of one of my bands & my drummer was crazy loud. I'll never forget this moment in time, I looked down at the ground & spotted my two yellow ear buds on the floor that fell out & away from my long locks. I was so very ill, I had to go home & then ended up in hospital after near fatal malena & slowly returning to health after a couple of years but weirdly enough left me with the ringing but it wasn't fully intense & somewhat managable. Fast fwd 20 years & a crazy psychological mishap I encountered that I had no control over nor understood caused a sickness in my mind that near ended me. I recovered quite well after a few months but believe it or not again left me with another level of ringing frequency in my ears on top of the one I already had! So today, I'm always hearing this annoying noise, louder than ever, along with clicks & other freaky sounds & I would do anything to be rid of them. Although, I'm lucky, as I'm here, enjoying this life & thankful for it, as I've been very close to not being here many times over & so I have to think, there is always someone else worse off than I. Finally, for my employer's medical exam I must take yearly, part of is a hearing booth test & I'm mashing that response button like crazy, whether I'm hearing the test sound or not lol. Funny though I always pass lol 😆

Jimmy , seeking medical health is a sad waste of time and money. They can’t do anything for you but they pretend they can.

It's very rock and roll to have tinnitus. But loud amps and drums and cymbals are what you want. The music feels better that way.

the ring in your ear isn't supposed to be serious most people get it in some cases it last for few seconds sometimes you won't hear it for a while. but if think it can be constant then seek medical help.
