How did the German general, Erwin Rommel (The Desert Fox), eventually die?

There were four attempts on Hitler's life by German Officers. Many German soldiers saw that Hitler had become a tyrant and must be removed. The history that sees all Germans of the time is very wrong. I am not German, Just understanding of the way a tyrant can destroy nations, mostly their own.
