Which organ in the human body does the rotavirus affect?

I always hear on the news about people getting it while on a cruise.

Whole family and part of extended family had it several years ago. It was horrible. Too many people throwing up at the same time, ran out of the normal places to do that, had to get creative. I will leave it at that.
