In Greek mythology, what was Hermes known as?
Correct answer: The Great Messenger

RushMama2112
Hermes was also a healer. He gave knowledge of medicine to Aesclypius. Hermes' staff is the symbol of healing, for petesake.

RushMama2112,
Interestingly, Hermes is not a god associated with medicine and the caduceus is not actually a medical symbol. The use of the caduceus to denote medical organizations is the result of a long-standing historical confusion between the caduceus and another ancient Greek symbol: the rod of Asclepius.I always associated Hermes/Mercury as the messenger of the gods and not as a healer.

Has anyone read Percy Jackson? It's so good! It's about the Greek Gods and a bunch of kids who call themselves Halfbloods. They have a godly parent and a regular one. The book is all about the adventures of Percy Jackson and his friends.
