Gryphon, I agree with you. This land belonged to the Indians. Our ancestors came in told the Indians to pack up and leave your land because we foreigners want the best land and everything. To bad the government moved your tribes to land there is no game the ground will not provide crops. Big deal they get sick and starve. And we called them the savages. What are we?

ObnoxiousFire174, So where do you suggest the Blackfeet, Navajo, Apache, Sioux, Crow, Cherokee, etc. go exactly if they are irritated by "your traditions"? I'm sorry sweetie, but if people exercising their Constitutional rights upsets you, that's YOUR problem- not theirs. The Founding Fathers believed so strongly in the Freedom of Speech that it's the First Ammendment and oldest tradition of the United States. So please let us know if we can help pack or give you a ride to the airport when you return to "wherever you're from".

Koolestgrandma, we were just savages with better weapons back then. There is not a nation on this planet that’s ground is not soaked with the blood of empires. Humanity as a species expands settles and conquers. There’s a good saying. “The dead are gone, the living are hungry.” The idea being that the dead don’t really have a say in current affairs and those that live have needs to be attended to. All we can do with history is study it so as not to repeat the mistakes of our predecessors.

Montana Lady, and what of the tribes they wiped out ? It's proven that likely many of the warrior tribes decimated and assimilated many other tribes we don't even know about. Look it's is what it is a more advance society comes along and displaces a less technological one. So we should have just not colonized an entire content so that a few people who also came from other areas could just have vast land to roam around in.... ridiculous.. If that's how humans conducted themselves we'd still be living in caves....

Shawnzie, yeah, we don't really like being called "Indians". that's because Columbus thought he was in India. And nobody wants to fix it.

another interesting thing is that the 15 stars and 15 striped flag actually saw battle at Ft McHenry. It was said to be so large that the Francis Scott Key could see it clearly above the Fort during the bombardment from over 3 miles away.

Koolestgrandma, I agree with you... the land was theirs and should not of been forced to leave. I think the people who did this to them are the savages. I also think our government is ridiculous and doesn't have common sense.

snitchcatcher, my children learned the pledge of allegiance in elementary school and church. We all still say it at church in the children's program I volunteer for. When you choose institutions for your children to attend, that is good to keep in mind.
