I'm from Utah I've lived here for 50 years and I can tell you from experience that the Mormons pad their membership numbers it is impossible once you have been made a member of the Mormon church to get your name off of their membership rolls therefore nobody knows for sure how many Mormons there really are and how many they're lying about

When my ancestors headed to Utah, they sent their entire fortune ahead of them to be held by the Mormon elders there and to set up a residence for them. When they got to SLC, all that was waiting was a dinky little cabin and zero money. That cabin is still on the Temple grounds. Most of my family left both the cabin and Mormonism behind them.

I'm in Utah right now, in what used to be its one non-Mormon majority county, (I think there's more than one now). This area was originally settled by Greek & Italian coal miners & remains the only place in UT where you can buy beer 24 hrs a day-7 days a week at the local gas stations. I really love it here & even though it's time for me to head off to Colorado now... this little patch of Earth will always feel like my home. :-)

I think every religion has something that requires us to believe. The bible asks us to believe that God created a woman from a man's rib, a man made from dust. The Mormon's ask for belief in tablets that appeared much like the tablets that appeared for Moses. Belief is faith. Everyone is entitled to find their faith if it gives then peace and harms no one. Peace people.

Awhile ago two young Mormon teens knocked on the door and started to tell me about their religion I asked how did it begin. they said two tablets desended from heaven . I asked where are these tablets now, the one teen turned to the other and said " that's a good question "

Mushintiger62, your statement is not true, the LDS do not believe that God, Jesus, & the Holy Spirit are one. Read the Holy Bible, not the book of Mormon.

Born and raised in Utah and absolutely LOVE it! All my parents, in-laws, family, friends are here, and they are all remarkable people. I absolutely love the geography here, from the Salt Flats to the West Desert to the red cliffs of Moab to the hoodoos of Bryce to the Great Salt Lake! what a wonderful place to live!

Every Mormon I know is a good Christ like person. I don't understand why people have the need to disrespect this religion and its members. Shouldn't we rejoice about people trying to do good in this world?!

Player #2018, it’s the temples that do not allow nonmembers inside, that are cool. Even members must have what is called a temple recommend card, given, if you are considered worthy by your local bishop. Local churches are just plane Jane type buildings.

RampageBronson1965, I did it myself 4 years ago. I’m glad I did. Otherwise I would’ve never known I had an inner voice. No one ever told me. So for most of my adult life I thought I was crazy. I wasn’t. I just have an inner voice and often an inner dialogue as well.

RampageBronson1965, it’s not impossible. You must write a letter to your bishop asking for your name to be removed. The process takes less than a month, but it can be done.
