Beautiful animal, sad to say it’s becoming extinct because of people are brutally killing it for there fur . So rich wealthy people can wear them . How disgusting

MoMo, Please read the explanation again. Wildlife trade means capturing for zoos and pets. Loss of habitat due to deforestation was the other reason mentioned.

Wild babies are taken from their mothers and shoved into a filthy sack or cage, terrifying them and causing life-threatening stress. After passing through many hands and enduring weeks of stress, they turn up in flea markets and swap meets, both almost completely unregulated, sick and for sale.

It truly is a beautiful cat, but yes I'm sure they are on the endangered list not only because of due to environmental causes but poachers as well. Which they fail to mention.

If you’re talking about animals, native to or indigenous is a better word than endemic. Endemic usually refers to diseases.

We must love and respect all wildlife, most especially all felines. imho
