Excellent explanation. I have been singing professionally for most of my life and singing is a mystery to a lot of people. Singing is a very physical activity and even if you are born with perfect pitch and can hit the right notes by instinct there needs to be additional training in order to sing in a way that does not cause physical discomfort and damage to the vocal folds which results in polyps and a shortened singing career.
