Who composed the "1812 Overture"?
Correct answer: Tchaikovsky

Tom
It would have been very forward thinking for Mozart to have written the 1812 overture, he died in 1791.
And Napoleon was not a known person then and grand orchestras were fifty years in the future.

That Cøunt, Ray Bumpkin
Player Don1, think again. Tom is right that Mozart died in 1791.

Always get goosebumps when those cannons go off!

I love the 1812 Overture, and I always rise to my feet when the cannons thunder. It's one of my favorite pieces of classical music. I'm desperately tired of the Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy, but that's no fault of the composer. That's just too much air play during the Christmas season.
