I had the honor, privelege and pleasure to meet Mr. Borgnine. Working as Concierge at The Hyatt Phoenix in ' 79. The man was as big and tall as a bear and had the kindest eyes I think I've ever seen. Meeting him was such a wonderful experience. He said to me, "you're the prettiest Concierge I've ever met!"! He took my hand in his and kissed it. I felt so small in his presence, he towered over me! I'll never forget that kindly,
sweet teddy bear of a man!

Susie Kasmiskie, I agree with you. He mostly played deranged villains. "Marty" is heartwarming down to earth character.

Tony
LibraLady1010, I enjoyed the movies he was in, but I always think of McHale's Navy when I hear his name or see his face. Capt. Bennington was hilarious, too. And the Barney Fiffe side.
