In the USA it's 911, in the UK it's 999 - what is it in Australia?

luckycatfay, Apparently if you use your own emergency number ie 911 or 999 or any other nation's emergency number in Australia it will get you through to emergency services

When travelling it never occurs to me to find out the emergency number is the mobile system still the same or linked to your country?
