The maths is accurate but the diagram is wrong - in the diagram the angle x is bigger than the one labelled 58 (which in the diagram is smaller than 58)

Although not labeled, the two unlabeled angles are equal to each other, making their value irrelevant. To compute the value of x, by theorem the sums of x + 58 and 31 + 68 must be equal. 31 + 68= 99, thus x + 58= 99, or x = 41. The sum of the labeled angles is also irrelevant.

nippy90002, I wish my math teacher in high school could see that I was correct! But it doesn’t really matter

DourGeneral48009, The diagram is a little misleading, but not wrong. Many math teachers and textbooks intentionally make the angles look smaller or larger to bait students into guessing wrong or penalizing them for lunging for the nearest protractor. All that matters are the given numbers.

Would've figured it out but I panicked 😅 thinking I'd run out of time so I guessed. Wrongly. Math isn't my forte, and neither is my sense of time, so my chances were slim I'd sail thru this with confidence lol - call me a full fledged dyscalculic idk

once you know the sum of the two angles in the Triangle with the X ends in the number 4 ~ answer will have to have to end in a 6.

Heartland Old Guy, I think you got one of the figures wrong, it’s 53 not 58. Therefore the answer is 46.
