Whose failed plan to blow up Parliament is remembered on bonfire night?
Correct answer: Guy Fawkes
no
remember remember the 5th of November, the gunpowder treason and plot. I can think of no reason the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot.
Portia
It wasn't actually Guy Fawkes's plan, it was Robert Catsby's. Fawkes was a mercenary recruited by him as he knew about explosives. Fawkes was the first one caught, as it was he who was left to detonate the gunpowder.
Hels
no, Except that it was an excuse for the massacre of thousands of innocent Catholics.

Portia, no one is saying that it was Guy Fawkes plan!
Guy Fawkes was the person they caught trying to light the gun power! That's why fireworks have gunpowder in them, and why he was burnt in the stake. terrible death in those day's. when I was little we made a Guy Fawkes, and put he on the bonfire.
