Nadman, I don't know why people complain about the questions in this game. Not a single one of us has a gun to our heads forcing us to play. Don't like it, find a different trivia game!

It was on TV when Jack Ruby shot Lee Harvey Oswald while he was being moved. Back then security wasn't held in such high regard. I watched this live. At the time I thought how good he killed LHO. Later as I grew up I realized the void history would forever have because of this killing. Who knows what he could have told us.

Although it happened before my time. When I am reminded of the assassination of JFK the most poignant memory for me is the image of his little boy saluting his dad's coffin. RIP

I remember my first grade teacher coming into the classroom crying and telling us that President Kennedy had been shot. Then dismissing all students home. The ominous somberness of the entire country felt unreal.

InfamousPossum9129, I was in 11th grade - American History class - the school principal announced it over the PA system and dismissed everyone to go home. Everyone in the halls was crying. We watched TV for 4 days - all the coverage leading up to the funeral - and cried a lot.

Hammer, people are given free choice. God did not ‘let’ it happen. A person decided to use his free choice.

There are shocking similarities between the death of J.F.K. in Dallas and The Archduke Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo, both were warned not to ride in an open car, both couples did; they were also warned not to visit the cities they did at the particular time. Of course the rest is history. One note: Jackie Kennedy did NOT want to ride in an open car because she didn't want her hair messed up by the time they got to the luncheon: vanity could have saved J.F. K.'s life !! ( She wanted the bubble top on the car, so people could've still seen them anyways.)

Very few people that was alive, at the time, can forget what happened on 11/23/63. I was in school and our teacher, Mr. Harris, had the radio on when we heard the news. No TV in classroom in this small town school. Even as a child, I knew that our life would never be the same again.

I was in the supermarket parking lot when I heard the news on the car radio. I couldn't believe it, so I ran into the market and asked everyone if it was true, but they hadn't heard about it yet and told me I must be mistaken. Like everyone else, I spent the next 4 days glued to the tv, crying. They played Samuel Barber's beautiful, "Adagio for Strings" and to this day I cannot hear it without mourning a little.
