I had a Russian Blue. Got him from a shelter, but he was a pure blood. Hiedo (Japanese for silver) was a joy! He and our dog, Suzi Q, loved to play and sleep together. one day he had a terrible accident and his tail was completely pulled from his spine. The vetcwant to put him down saying he couldn't walk, pee etc. I insisted that Hiedo was a fighter and would recover. Suzi Q was a GREAT nurse, feed him and cleaned him. One day Suz thought it was time for him to get on his feet. With her help he not only relearned to walk, within a month, they were playing, chasing each other and had a wonderful rest of their lives

I’ve never been overly into cats, I could take them or leave them. I love dogs as you see from my monicker. Until my daughter got a exotic cat, it’s a bobcat and Maine cat?? Sorry I don’t know the Maine’s name. He turned out to be a wonderful, smart playful part of the family. He is definitely in charge of my bulldogs, especially since he’s equal in size. He’s completely changed my mind about cats!!

a lovely story. shows how resilient animals are. the vet couldve amputated his tail to a degree. surely Heido mustve had some pain meds what a great dog to care for kitty finally getting him up and about again.

Russian Blue cats are intelligent, sweet and loving. My Colette plays fetch with me and she is amazing. My previous Blue, Angel was so smart and adorable. They are beautiful companions.

Other animals have such a strong loving nature about themselves and can play a positive role in nurturing and caring for another animal and species. My mother got one from a box outside our grocery store.
A small runt that had vivid blue eyes. Turns out she was so young her eyes hadn’t changed from the blue all young kittens have before the color comes in.
She was very close to my mother.
