There is no lead in a pencil. Graphite is used. Lead can cause a lot of health problems.

Here in the great country of the USA we call it a #2 pencil and that is good enough for me. Only use a #2 pencil when you take a test or you’ll be sorry! 😞

I've never heard of #2 but guessed that it might mean HB
