Wish I can see this movie over and over again. It was a big loved movie of my Beloved Mommy.
We lost her to heart problems April 27, 2018. That will be one of her favorite movies. That is why she liked channel 58. It had all the oldies but goodies, black and white, and no commercials.

Amy Farmer

Simply splendid movie. My favorite boxing movie. The storyline is heartbreaking at times & the cast was fabulous. One of the few remakes that turned out very, very well. If you have not seen this movie. Give it a look see. We wore out 2 laserdiscs watching this. (Anyone out there remember the Laserdiscs ot the Laserdisc players of the late '70's & 80's?)

alex
he should be about 50 year's old now.

This was one of the examples of a remake being as good as the original. The first film starred Wallace Beery and Jackie Cooper
