The fluidity of his voice is so distinctive, very moving & wonderful to listen to. A truly great writer & singer who had his own demons to battle throughout his life. Such a sad loss to the music world.

catwoman, he brought him in to the world then took him out. Very sad story. But I did see him live, Circle Star Theater San Fran, 1978, what a concert!

Definitely missed his ‘voice’ in song and message. What a loss, but very grateful for the gifts he left before his passing.

In my personal opinion, his problems started at home. His gift to us was all the music he gave to us and the passion he had when he sang them. His troubles at home allowed him to pour his soul into the songs we love to listen to today.
