she nicked my milk!😠
Transformer27
A more prosperous nation? The rich got richer and the poor got poorer under Thatcher. She was a friend to her industrialist cronies and the enemy of just about everyone else.
Skulk11
The description if Margaret Thatcher is terrible. She was an elitist zealot who did more harm than good.
munchkin1300
She was an awful prime minister. Hated by many, for very good reasons.
nimblemoon
It's a sad statement for mankind that people feel the need to kill each other in the name of religion.
HarleyMidgeyMom95.
SphericalLynx27180, yes it is but not her fault. terrorizm is everywhere not only in U.S. or U.K. these people are just so caught up on their belief system and religion they hate christians, americans, western ideas and way of life. They hate the U.K. because they are our allie and it is sad. anyone that is not them. the hate. they use the Quran to hide behind and are liars. so sad.

Silus Raven
anybody that actually lives in the uk knows she was the worst thing that ever happened
Wiola
Alison, she destroyed mining industry, she ruined docks, she sent cops on horses to tramp up protesters, she tried to destroy the unions. That witch lied through her back teeth about the Hillsborough Disaster and made cops to rewrite witnesses statements! Need I go on? Ding Dong the witch is gone! Never forget, never forgive #YNWA #JFT96

We could do with Thatcher sorting out all these ones going on strike. I'm all for equality but there is a domino effect. What these selfish people don't realize is that it causes much disruption towards the public who have nothing to do with the management of the companies. There has to be a compromise as the country is in recession, most of these ones striking already have a good job and salary. Involving others in a private disagreement is not the answer. Innocent people are getting caught up with others problems
Dre
Little Saint, there subsequently has been another female prime minister since Thatcher,Theresa May also from Conservative party.

Player #7957179, and now there are long waiting lists for council houses because they were sold and never replaced. Now a lot of people live in private flats. Some landlords are excellent but some are terrible and the rents can be astronomical. So not such a wonderful idea.
SueA
Silus Raven, sadly some people don’t think she was. The state funeral proved that. Soma people thought she was wonderful; rich right wing people mostly.
SueA
nimblemoon, where does it mention religious war? The war was in the Falkland Islands which are off South America and it was nothing to do with religion. They are near Argentina who coveted them but I’m not sure why as flocks of sheep are the main “industry”.

Player #2615094, Thanks for non disappointment here. Knew they’d least be one comment about the milk. 🤦🏽♀️ It’s only milk not like couldn’t get it at home or elsewhere. People over reacting about milk in schools.

Lee, Unlike the terrible, greedy and useless management of the 70's that took, took, took all the time and failed miserably to invest in the UK. Just look how many UK brands are manufactured abroad but their owners wave the Union Jack
Lee
Wiola, unions I think you find ruined all of the UKs manufacturing and industry

Easily the most divisive PM the UK ever had, a real enemy of the working class

loubie
Teresa May was priminister due a short time in 2018 in the UK.
Shadow94
This description paints an overly rosy picture in my view. Thatcher was, and remains to this day, a hugely divisive figure in the UK.
There's a reason "Ding-dong! The witch is dead!" hit #2 in the music charts the week she died. Irreverent, yes, but I think it reflects how many people did, and still do, view her
Player #34228793
Teresa May was. British PM for 3 years.
Majo
Theresa May had also been UK prime minister. Info needs updating.
Player #31164166
we have had two women pm's, Thatcher and Theresa may.
Thatcher systematically stripped the unions of their power and is until this day still a very divisive character. as a northern working class man I for one didn't mourn her demise.
