This is not a very good question or answer. Clydesdales and Shires are virtually identical; Shires can also be bay in colour. Clydesdales tend to have a more 'roan' coat, though (with white hairs). Both have 'feather' around the feet. You'd have to look at the horse's passport to know if true Shire or Clydesdales.

Clydesdale and Shire look virtually identical unless you can gauge their height, when the Shire is noticeably bigger. This is not a fair set of choices with this photo.

flowercat0523, Yes they are. These horses looks Majestic. Hope the Budweiser will take a good care of them once when they get older as well.

flowercat0523, absolutely! Years ago, the horses were kept at Busch Gardens in Tampa. Visitors used to be allowed to meet the horses. Not sure where they are kept now.

It's virtually impossible to tell a Clydesdale from a Shire horse from a photo alone.

Player #10777524, These are also the types of horse used by the mediaeval knights , not the horses used in films. Firstly a knight in full armour is heavy . Secondly the modern racehorse or thoroughbred is descended from Arab horses of the 17th century

Cher67, they are at the Fort Collins,Co Bud plant. My uncle raised Clydesdales and sold many to Budweiser. They are extremely regal animals. Uncle Nook said when the last Clyde left the farm he would too. Nobody knew he meant he’d kill himself but that’s just what he did. Shot himself in the head... loved those horses so much but became too infirm to continue raising them....
