Montana Lady, my absolute two favorite Danny Kaye movies. "The pellet with the poison's in the chalice from the palace, the flagon with the dragon has the brew that is true". "Got it?" "Get it." "Good."

He was in the musical "Two by Two". The run in Boston was before it went on to Broadway. He had broken his leg before the Boston performance. He was still marvelous in a full leg cast. He used crutches and a wheelchair. Madelyn Kahan was one of his daughter in law. I didn't realize she had an operatic voice. See if you can find the album, you might love the music as well as I did. The play was about Noah and the building the ark. the Two by Two is, of course, the animals.

Blind Arthur Blake, I disagree; I saw Mr. Kaye at the Spokane WA Expo in the 70s, and he was stunningly beautiful, much more so than in his pictures. He was walking behind a Greek Orthodox priest and I could have reached out and touched him. Obviously this made a lasting impression (53 years), I had never thought he was that attractive, but thoroughly enjoyed ALL his movies!

I loved Christmas in South Lake Tahoe (before ski season got as crowded as summer). Harrah's always had a free show for kids. Danny Kay, Red Skelton, Jimmy Durante, etc. It was a wonderful part of growing up there in the early 60's.
