Chris, I feel the exact same way as you do.

Of course the cooperate. The number of times that one tree has stuck its root out to trip me up whilst a second one pickpockets me when I'm down. You can never tell which one did it.

Chris, as far as chopping down, that is called necessity, sometimes, but can and should be re- planted when possible, many wildfires could be prevented with less liberal idealology that prevents common sense forestry

Chris, I also feel the same as u do. I hate it when the electric company comes around, and instead of gently trimming the trees so they avoid falling on power lines, they Butcher them. Like they don't have a care in the world!! Or how about the homeowner/renter stabbing their beautiful, oxygen-producing, friend in the side with a flag! It doesn't matter what kind, either. Pls folks, I beg u, Do Not Stab ur beautiful tree in the side with anything metal! Why? Because if u do, that becomes a homing beacon 4 lightening 2 come by and strike ur nice. big, beautiful tree.

The saguaro cactus uses a "nurse tree" to survive it's initial several years. UT shades it from the hot sun. It protects it from wind and erosion. It rakes several years for a saguaro to grow an inch or 2. Saguaros are about 70 years old before it grows it's first arm. Cactus wrens peck holes in them for their home. Desert life is amazing and so interesting to learn about.
