All right, Diahann was in "Carmen Jones" and "Porgy and Bess", but let's not forget Dorothy Dandridge, the star of both, with an Oscar nomination to boot for the former. And while we are at it, both films had a marvelous group of performers that need mentioning: Harry Belafonte, Pearl Bailey, Brock Peters, Roy Glenn, Alvin Ailey, Bernie Hamilton, Sam McDaniel, Archie Savage, Sidney Poitier, Sammy Davis Jr., Clarence Muse, Joel Fluellen, Ivan Dixon, Bill Walker, Scatman Crothers, Geoffrey Holder, Nichelle Nichols.
