Guy de Maupassant ate lunch under the Eiffel Tower because it was the only place in Paris where he wasn’t forced to look at it.

Player #28825483, I didn't find the people in Paris to be rude. We treated them with courtesy and they returned the courtesy.

I'm one who thinks it's absolutely beautiful - especially at night when it's lit up/sparkling every hour on the hour. It's an engineering and architectural marvel. I can see how Parisans/others would be sick of it though.

UnderwayRout4, Had 4 "Incidents" in a 2 day, 2 night stay in Paris. One even involved the Sûreté. Was glad to get out of there- beware of Paris Syndrome : )
