What birds can produce 'milk'?
Correct answer: Pigeons

Laura
Rosie-knees, As mentioned in the description, one name for it is crop milk. It's formed in the crop, a pouch at the top of the esophagus.

Marcy

The Mighty Beefeater

Cat Mom
mokoosh, then the difference in how the 2 are thought of is sad

Cat Mom
Sis, and do those 2 seem any different than the other 13? Just curious

Cat Mom
wesley, lol! A minus is that they said it isn't technically milk but a plus is that they said it is more nutritious than mammal or human milk!

Leeb
Wow! Never heard of that!

Sis
WOW 😮 I HAD NO IDEA!!! And as a very positive breastfeeding mother, this is cool to know. I have 15 grandchildren and 13 have been breast fed. The two that weren’t have a mother who refused.

docsurfwise
mokoosh, or white pigeons are pretty much just doves. 🤔

mokoosh
Sassy, doves are pretty much just white pigeons.
