Is black the darkest color and the result of the absence of or complete absorption of light?

help I'm in 7th grade and I didn't know wth they were talking about but I got it right! 😛

I got confused with Vantablack which is the darkest colour in the world. It prevents light from being absorbed between 99.10 to 99.99 percent of the light

SolemnBulldog48588, sorry, but you're wrong. it's exactly the opposite; white is the culmination of all colours and black is the absence of all colour, or the absorption of all colours.

Black is not a colour. it is a shade afaik.
