Dr. Seuss didn't want his books exploited. He would have never agreed to a remake. He was once offered the highest wage for use of his characters in an advertisement. Since he never wanted to take away from the integrity of his characters, he said he would rather be known as the guy that turned down the highest offer for use of his characters in an advertisement. His wife is doing nothing but exploiting & disrespecting him by doing all these remakes!

I used to read Dr. Seuss books to my kids when they were little; MY favorite one to read was "Fox in Socks". I read it to their whole class when each one was in Kindergarten. I recited it from memory, with the open pages facing the kids because I had read it so many times that I knew every word by heart and knew exactly when to turn the page.
