Before modern times, when people decided to do things "differently ", this was invariably played at UK weddings. The structure of weddings was almost always a church ceremony followed by standard sit down reception. If you were affluent, your parents could afford a hotel for this, more commonly a village hall/pub where everyone had a great "knees-up", slang for partying!
