I was briefly a member (didn't want to pay the yearly fee more than once), never heard anyone talk about eugenics in any forums or gatherings. Mostly nice people, though there were some peculiar personalities (probably myself included).

This always make me laugh, because "Mensa" in slang in Spanish (particularly in Mexico) means an ignorant girl/woman. By the way, men don't escape from this they are "mensos". I love the comments of intelligent women in this game...How I wish in this game we could see or go back...I want to see feedback on my comments or replies.

I was invited to join Mensa when I was 16 went to a meet up all the other members were adults one didn't wear matching socks some didn't bath and none were successful... Thanks but no thanks I never went back...

where do people come up with these absurd ideas, such as Mensa supporting Eugenics. My brother established the Mensa Irish chapter. He might be missing a personality, but he, nor any other members would never support eugenics.

Player #4367092, I forgot to say that you're right and I thought I'd expand a bit on my original reply. People who are good at quizzes are regarded as being intelligent, whereas I always thought that it just shows that you've got a good memory. Also, there are quite a few different kinds of intelligence, eg emotional, that aren't measured by IQ tests of the kind used by MENSA. Unfortunately, too much of our educational system is limited to the kind of intelligence that is. In case anyone thinks that that's sour grapes, I always scored pretty high on them and did well in exams.

Player #4367092, This is so true. I am quite intelligent, correcting adults in their grammar mistakes when I was 10 years old. But... My mother would say I didn't have the sense that God gave to a Billy goat. And it was true.

How interesting, but to actually gauge, decide, and measure intelligence there's much more involved that you cannot test on paper, or just by answering a question. Emotional intelligence should be included in this test as well.
