What year did glam rocker Marc Bolan die?
Correct answer: 1977

Hiqq
Had Marc Bolan lived today he had been a superstar. Artist with an enigma, model and tv host... And he could write music and sing as well. Way ahead of his time!

I saw Marc Bolan and T. Rex live at the West Runton Pavilion (West Runton, Norfolk, UK) a couple of weeks before he died. I also saw Heatwave, The Commodores, The ChiLites, Thin Lizzy, Mungo Jerry and Queen at the same location.

I suggest anyone who has never heard of Marc Bolan and T Rex look up some of their songs and have a listen - they were so before their time. My particular favourite was Metal Guru.

Montana Lady, Children of the Revolution, Get it On, Telegram Sam, Jeepster... You may have heard them without knowing - many are 70s classics.

What a shame. Him and Bowie co-started the Glam-Rock era...rest in peace T-Rex

Bigtimejeeneeus
I never heard his name either, but I definitely heard of T Rex

Player #27355, At one time the tree was in danger of dying, poisoned by the number of nails and pins fans had used to attach cards and pictures over the years.

Player Tony@gloria, no he wasn't, in fact she was charged with causing his death. Many of the girls at my school were devastated by his death and hated her for her part in it.

LaContessa, Sorry, but I've never heard of him or of the band T-Rex... it might help if instead of just insulting us, people mentioned some of their more popular songs we may have heard. (Especially since I was born after this man died.)

Reet

LaContessa
