I moved to Denver area in 1979 and lived there until 1997 (go Broncos) then moved to what is referred to as the Western Slope. This is the most beautiful part of the state. I live in Fruita Co at the base of the Colorado National Monument. Spectacular!

Player AuntieM, Beautiful Western Slope! I used to live in Fruita too… but there was more fruit when/where I lived, in Palisade, on the other side of the valley, at the foot off the biggest Flat Top Mountain in the world, The Grand Mesa. They have wine grapes (an AVA) and sweet juicy peaches. I once got to be on a committee to choose Peach royalty for the parade and Peach Festival. In Weatern Slope Adventures club, they took me up over 14 thousand feet to the top of Mt Elbert, in the Rockies, and river rafting to a 13 thousand year old site archaeological dig. When we moored the raft, there was a beautiful lone dog minding a herd of sheep! Amazing adventures to behold in Colorado.
