Why is this question listed under science? I mean I realize that they don’t have this category, but perhaps they could create one. Call it “language arts” or something along those lines.

It drives me crazy when people use -ly adverbs without the -ly. I hear it often on TV.

CyanJaguar62, It gets on my nerves when I hear, "He did it correct," among hundreds of other abominations, on TV. This was not the case until liberals took over the public education system in the 60s and 70s. Americans were the best educated people on earth. That is no longer true--by a long ways. The Chinese have a higher national IQ than the US, and many speak better English, too. (As a second or third language).

marimargo, IQ has nothing to do with intelligence? Really? IQ is routinely tested in the first grade, before most of us are doing a lot of reasoning. It is a measure of native intelligence before education begins. As far as I am currently aware, IQ is constant and does not change through life.

Tom, did you mean to say "you did well?" The difference between good and well is significant. Castle and Cook were missionaries who went to Hawaii to do good and ended up doing well.
