iRobot probably has more rights than a Saudi woman

A robot is not a human being and should not have citizenship.

Cizinka, I agree with you. It's complete and utter madness to give a robot citizenship when they can't even acknowledge some of their Arabic people asking for help. The World has gone completely bonkers!

As a technical professional, I find this an alarming precedent. As a woman and mother, this is also quite alarming. Both the effort it takes to produce a human being and the requirements of living with other humans cannot be duplicated by a machine.

JxP, same thing. Feminism is only one aspect of this absurdity, but it is a very clear example of how ridiculous this is. Saudi Arabia is a backwards country trying to convince everyone it’s the most forward one by being a dystopian sci-fi nightmare. Absolutely disgraceful hypocrisy in so many ways. I’m sure Muhammad would be proud that they equated a hunk of metal to living souls.

What a load of nonsense. They never granted Ash (Alien franchise) 'citizenship!'

Cizinka, Yea, Saudi's don't appear to be too intelligent. I'd expect them to "buy" into this and make a robot one of them.

DONNA, not science, which is the systematic study of the universe as it is, but technology, which we might define as using science's discoveries to try to change one aspect or another of the universe.

Cizinka, that’s what you’re hung up on? Not that women were just recently given the right to drive?
