Who was hired to be Gary Cooper's dialect coach for The Virginian (1929)?

I love to watch Randolph Scott in Western movies. He always looked like someone I had seen before. Then while watching one of his movies it struck me why he looked so familiar. I'm from Texas and he looked just like the mascot for the state fair of Texas-Big Tex! Only much more handsome ☺

Kmac, I also loved his rich smooth Southern drawl. I've seen a lot of his movies lately on the broadcast Retro channels on TV like GRIT & GetTV.
