James Christopher Harrison was also known as what?
Correct answer: The Man with the Golden Arm
fergiethefrog
He's a true hero, and I'm sorry that they're preventing him from continuing to donate because he's saved countless lives!!
thepenpusher
fergiethefrog, My son and I are part of the group he saved. I'm negative and my son is positive. My son will be 50 years old in June. Thank you so very much, Sir.
Ak
He should be called the man of golden heart.
meka
I'm so proud to be an Aussie! Saw him in an interview and he is a very humble bloke.
Just a thought though...There may be very solid reasons why 81 is a cut off. I'm no haematologist but I want to look into it before I make a judgement. We need blood products so very much so they probably do have a very good reason or it wouldn' be in place...imho
Player Don1
I wonder if there are other donors with the same Rh factor?
Jonesy
Everyone should donate blood and or plasma. I donate blood and I am now up to 70 donations.
Ymrarose
What a hero and giving man. Thank you Sir!
Joshua
DONNA, The rules are in place for a reason I guess. My dad is 87 and he gives blood every month. He’s done it his whole life. Got all the T-shirts and hats. 😂
D O N N A
fergiethefrog, as it is well known his plasma saves lifes; he should be able to continue to donate if he is medically able!
Candy
Jonesy, Good idea in theory, however, not everyone can medically donate blood or blood products (i.e. blood disorders/diseases/blood thinners, etc.)
red
I didn't know this! I am Rh neg and had the Rhogam shot for all the kids! A big thank you!!
marimargo
I was never able to donate blood because I was too small and didn't weigh enough. The one time I weighed enough I passed out before they got the minimum amount.
marimargo
I've never heard of this man, but he us a blessing to humanity. I hope t he New South Wales government has good documentation on why he can't donate anymore

This is the most important reason for playing this game. I've answered over 300 questions and although I only missed three, I understood the underlying context for all of them. Until now. Never heard of this man and specifically what he had done. I thank you all. I stand enlightened.
pickleTree

Reddog

Jonesy, ❤️

fergiethefrog, so how did the horses figure out that after age 81 that was too old? Maybe just another part of government's desire to control everything.
rp
only knew through a Wu Tang lyric

Ak, Each of us have something to give others. That is part of our humanity... to choose to have a kind heart! ❤️
Lis
Wow, I’m Rh - and my children are Rh+ I remember getting the injection before I delivered my first child. So thankful for his commitment!

fergiethefrog, he has a place in everyone’s hearts forever💗
Cat Mom
Surely the man has passed away by now?! But what a wonderfully giving person he is or was!
Ruairi
Jonesy, not everyone can. I get horribly sick no matter what I eat before.
Duchess
couldn't there be an exception to the age requirement? unless he gets injured or ill when he'd need his own while he recovers. Does he have any offspring that may have inherited this blood type?
D O N N A
Player Don1, yes, there are!
Marcy
He was prohibited when he was already 80 y.o.
