Correct answer: The bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

Tina M.
I always feel sad when so many innocent people die. It happens too many times.

Lisel
Every time I read about Japan being bombed during world War II, no matter what timeline, it is absolutely heartbreaking💔

Player #53553731, you forget about how the Japanese treated your Filipino brothers and sisters?

Flex
Al, You are incorrect. VE day (Victory in Europe) was BEFORE the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The bombings DID end the war.

Deborah
I had to shake my head at the number of people who thought that the bombing of Pearl Harbor ended WWII. It was the bombing of Pearl Harbor that finally convinced the reluctant Americans to enter the war.

Mel
PEOPLE DIE BECAUSE THEIR LEADERS ARE MAKING DECISIONS THAT LEAD TO WAR. AS A RESULT OF JAPAN NOT SURRENDERING, WE DROPPED BOMBS ON THESE CITIES.

The Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor got America into WW II (on my brother's birthday). The bombing of Hiroshima ended the war (on my birthday).
Wierd.

joymarch016, Incorrect, the Japanese were on the verge of surrender. Science was only looking for an excuse to test their new weapons.

Lisel, uh, yeah, it would have been more heartbreaking if those bombings hadn't been carried out, millions of our servicemen would have been killed invading the Japanese mainland and millions of Japanese would have died too from the American invasion than the figures that died from the bombings. I'm also very pro - Japanese, but we had no choice the Japanese were programmed NOT to surrender EVER to the enemy.

Tina M., Yes! because of the pride of government leaders
