I love David Suchet his expression in his eyes simply beautiful.. I loved him in the BBC production of Great Expectations a few years back in fact the whole cast was great worth a watch.

RushMama2112, I absolutely love Murder by Death. Very underrated movie.

JTsuited, Miss Marple is a nicer person. Poirot is vain and coceited, and quite self obsessed. Incapable of laughing at himself.

Myffa
baymax, YES - she is the epitome of the quiet, unobtrusive elderly village lady, who appears as if by magic at the crucial moment. Constantly observing and with decades of experience of human nature. Rutherford was hopeless - far too flamboyant. And the later ones just tried to copy Hickson. Just a pity she came to the role so late - she could have filmed far more for us before she died.

arohanui
baymax, me too. She was perfect in the role. Rutherford was too big and blustery by far.

Maestra
Peter Ustinov will always be my Poirot. Suchet is a close second (for me).

Olly
Davy, Livingston - I agree with you. We may be showing our age, but Margaret Rutherford as Miss Marple was a thing of wonder! She was born for that role!

baymax
Davy, Livingston, that's not what my mum says, she thinks that Joan Hickson was the best Miss Marple, and I agree!

Tacobelle
* Seshati *, he totally fits the description in the books

JTsuited
I prefer Poirot as a person compared to Jane Marple.

I'm part Belgian so I knew that.
