seeing the black guitar, thought b.b. king for a second, then remembered the country ballad when I didn't see B.B. in the answers.whew.

Vel
Was shocked to not see Little Richard in the choices. My old brain went immediately to Lucille ..the song done by him. In my high school years in the 50s
Little Richard was very popular!
Had forgotten the song by Kenny Rogers.

Sal, isn't it "with 4 hungry (not 400) children and a crop in the field"

kronik
then there's the joke about Kenny Rogers riding a breaking skateboard...you picked a fine time to leave me loose wheel...

Sal
Geordie4Life, It is a quote from the radio DJ Terry Wogan, a joke.

The line "with 4 hungry children and a crop in the field" made me recognize this song. I used to hear it on the radio in the late 70's when I was a pre-teen and always felt so sad for the man and kids in the song. Until now I always thought the title of the song was "You picked a fine time to leave me Lucille"

Keem
Funny how I freaked out about it too. I was actually humming Ruby don’t take your love to town. Then I realized that it was all wrong.

I get the impression that Blues singer B.B.King played and sung blues his guitar 🎸 was named Lucille.
