Literally just made it legal to purchase beer on Sundays here in Anderson South Carolina; been living here since 2012, and for someone who grew up living in Tampa Bay Florida area, where all alcohol is purchasable 7 days a week til 3am, Sunday's used to be from 11am til 2am but that changed many years before I moved away....anyway, up here liquor stores close at 7pm and no liquor can be bought on Sunday, lest you buy it at a restaurant that is either outside the city limits or one that has a special license to serve it on Sundays. And getting anything approved through local government here is like chewing through a steel door!!

Mississippi is last in everything, including education and removing the traitorous Confederate battle banner from the state flag. Horrible.

DapperAmigo29164, Bella Vista, Arkansas prohibits the purchase of alcoholic beverages; however, if you belong to a club, you can order a drink in a restaurant. Thus upon entering many restaurants you are automatically enrolled in a club.

Texas still has dry counties. I live in one now. When I lived in Tyler TX, the only 'liquor store' was a wine shop that got its license because all the wines sold were Texas grown and produced. You could purchase hard liquor in the next county and at certain restaurants that served alcohol.
