during the 80's in the South, they had these solitaire peg game's with golf Tee's that you could play for free and later purchase, inside restaurant and motels. somewhat challenging and time killing.

My grandfather used to make the golf tee smaller version and give those to kids. he was a carpenter. that was way back in 60s and 70s

We used to have one of these solitare games. I never won, but got close a few times!
