What is a kinetoscope used for?

I have actually used the kinetoscope several times. Back in the late 1950''s there used to be a tent of them at the fairs.

It is a nice touch to see that the longest answer isn’t always correct 👍🏼

Just use a stick with marks on it against the wither to measure a horse / hh 🤣 -
